Speech Therapy

Speech language pathology is a field of expertise specializing in the evaluation and treatment of communication disorders and swallowing disorders. Speech Language Pathology is practiced by clinicians known as speech-language pathologists (SLPs) and speech language pathology assistants (SLPAs) also called speech and language therapists, or speech therapists. Our speech therapists focus primarily on pediatric speech and language disorders including receptive and expressive language disorders, speech sound disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, stuttering, and language-based learning disabilities.

The field of speech language pathology provides for a wide range of services, mainly on an individual basis, but also as support for individuals, families, support groups, and providing information for the general public. Speech and language therapists work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. Speech services begin with initial screening for communication and swallowing disorders and continue with assessment and diagnosis, consultation for the provision of advice regarding management, intervention and treatment, and provision counseling and other follow up services for these disorders

Our company specializes in bilingual speech language pathology, an even more specialized branch of the field. Our bilingual speech therapists work primarily with speech or language impaired clients ages 2 to 21 whose primary language is Spanish.

We utilize a pediatric team based therapy approach and work with developmental disabilities including, not limited to, autism, down syndrome, cognitive delays, and cerebral palsy.
